EXCLUSIVE: Brace Yourselves, Ladies: The Final 'Twilight' Poster!
Filed under: Drama, Horror, Romance, Sci-Fi & Fantasy, Thrillers, Movie Marketing
I think I may have heard just a little buzz regarding this Twilight movie. Apparently it's based on the first book in a somewhat popular series that deals with young lovers and vampirism -- OK, I'm kidding. You can't work in the movie-news biz without knowing that Catherine Hardwicke's Twilight is one of the most hotly-anticipated films of late 2008. The project may be supported by only a few demographic groups (mainly young women and their moms, I believe), but those fans have been powerfully vocal in their excitement for this movie. Which is how it should be, if you ask me.Twilight hits the screens on November 21, and each new bit of news has the loyal fans squeeing with delight. And so we're all very happy to give those fans their first peek at the final one-sheet. I've cropped a small section up there in the top right, but for the whole dang poster you'll have to enter ... beneath the jump! (In other words, just click on "continue reading," and maybe be prepared to change your desktop wallpaper.)

No idea who Paley McChin is, but that Kristen Stewart sure is a cutie. (Just kidding, ladies. He's a newcomer named Robert Pattinson. Yes, I know he was in a Harry Potter flick, but he's still a newcomer. It's not an insult!) Also starring in the Stephenie Meyer adaptation are Peter Facinelli, Billy Burke, and several other young people who are too good-looking for words.
Click on the poster for a mega-large version. And thanks to Summit Entertainment for hooking us up with this hot-ticket promo goodie!

is not targeted towards teens and young aldults.
it's for all ages. just because they have a young attractive cast the assume that it is for young audiences.

3. I agree, I'm a guy, and I absolutely love Twilight. I don't know many guys who like it around my area, but I know there are loads of guys out there who must love it.

5. What a terrible poster, the way Edward is holding Bella is borderline molestation. His face looks distorted and sinister, and his expression is in no way expressing his gentle and kind nature.
The other poster looked intimate and a genuine connection could be seen. But, as someone already mentioned, this new poster would put me off if I didn't know what the film was about.
What an awful decision

6. I loved how you got the defense in asap incase you got a flurry of negative messages. Are Rob fans that scary. We are pussycats really we are. I hate that poster. Its a really bad photoshop job and Rob's face is ridiculously pale and his ear is still pink. Rob is gorgeous so why make him look like Frankenstein's Monster. Summit screwed up. A child could have done a better job. They should have stuck with the original one.

7. I think its atrocious. I;ve seen fans on Live Journal who have worked with it and made a much better poster. The origial version is diabolical quality. Were they blind to Rob's ear colour.

8. Awful poster. The person who created it hasnt got a clue about photoshop. Rob's ear is bright pink and his face is deathly grey. Awful work.

10. Thanks for posting. Can you be really nice to Rob Pattinson fans and try and cover his new film Little Ashes. Fans are just as excited to see that. He plays Salvador Dali in it. It looks fascinating and feedback so far implies its wonderful.

11. I like it...something about it kinda looks weird but it's all good

12. I think this is way off the mark. "Edward" is supposed to be beautiful. Rob Pattinson is built like a god...this version of the poster seems so off the mark. I think that it would be a real turn-off to anyone who is undecided about giving the movie a chance...
And Bella ... she doesn't really look like Kristen Stewart. She looks soft.
Again, they are way off the mark. And what's up with the ear?

13. I haven't read Twilight and I know nothing about it... but this poster is very boring. It doesn't entice me at all. The color of his ear is the least of its problems.

14. I would like the poster if he didn't look so damn creepy - he's supposed to look ethereal, not like a killer salamander.

15. ACK! Kristin looks bloated and Rob looks like a zombie!

16. I like the poster. They look great
come on guys...a little more support for Twilight movie
why are some of you so bitter and angry...
I am totally excited to see the movie. My Twilight version is in my head since the first time I read the books...this movie is just a wonderful awsome threat for all of us.
Is impossible to create the world that everybody created in their own head while reading Twilight...
This is just on view of it, that is all.... ENJOY IT!!!
I don't like that people think that Twilight fans are just bitter and angry women... I am definitly not that
I love the books and I am totally happy about this movie
The photos for this posters are amazing... keep up the good work!!

17. exactly I agree completely. Everyone has a different picture in their head and if people continue to close their minds to everything else they will end up hating, which I believe will be, a really great movie.

18. c'mon ladies just enjoy it, you are picky!. In my opionion this is a beautiful poster, your ears usually don't look or have the same color that your face has. Stop criticizing and finding fault on every little thing

19. Personally being a twilight fan i didn't like it at first. The more i looked at the more it grew on me. I like the first poster better and i don't really like the tag line "nothing will be the same". For someone who never herd of twilight and saw this poster, i am pretty sure they wouldn't see the movie. I doesn't capture the romance, risk and action of the book. But whats done is done and i know i am still seeing the movie :]

20. I agree! This is an amazing poster. Robert looks amazing and dead - like a vampire IS supposed to look! And Kristen just looks gorgeous! Their eyes are both amazing and I KNOW this movie is going to be great!
So, dont nit-pick. Because it's great and they are the perfect Edward + Bella.
(No one is going to match up to the ideals you have in your head! Don't be stubborn! THEY ARE PERFECT!!!)

1. I take offense to that. Twilight isn't just for ladies... I could understand an outsider to the books or movies not realizing that, but it was a great series for everyone - all ages and sexes. That poster is incredible... I think you're right about me having to make it my wallpaper.
