1. Ant-Man is at the top right now. With Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz under his belt Edgar Wright seems to have reached a perfect medium between comedy and action, and with Scott Pilgrim on the horizon it seems he is set to show the world both that he does not need Simon Pegg and Nick Frost to make a good movie and that he can direct a comic movie without compromising the integrity of the book itself.

Plus I loved the Irredeemable Ant-Man mini digest that Robert Kirkman did so maybe this is the reimagining that Ant-Man needs?

2. 1- The Avengers ..... been waiting for an epic superhero team that doesn't suck balls (see Fantastic 4), however I think Watchmen might have the potential to be the better.

3. For me, I suppose Thor. I could see it being directed in a style like 300, thus making it less cheesy than the premise is.

Plus, Gilderoy Lockhart possibly directing? Awesome.

4. Maybe I am little biased since I am more of a DC fan, but am I the only who thinks Marvel's future projects are pretty ridiculous? I mean, Ant-Man?

I sound like a jerk here, but I think Marvel Studios might become the lamest movie studio in Hollywood. I mean is there any other film studios that make only one genre of films? I hope they make movies other than mere super hero movies. My one wish list is the movie based on the graphic novel Criminal, from Icon Comics--the imprint of Marvel.

6. The Marvel film I'm looking forward to most isn't on that list.
I get laughed at a lot for saying this, but Ant-Man isn't just the number one comic book film I'm looking forward to, it's the number one film in general.

I echo all of Sam's sentiments. Edgar Wright is truly one of the most talented directors of the past ten years. He's really passionate about this project and all of the negativity the project is getting from the cynics saying how much it will suck just makes him want to make the film even more. What a lot of people don't know is that it was HIS choice to make the film. He was approached a few years ago with a list of Marvel heroes and he personally chose Ant-Man because he thought it would be interesting. If there's one thing Hollywood needs right now, it's a creative and daring mind. Edgar has that.

Anyway, yeah. Ant-Man is the one I'm dying to see.

8. As much as I loved X-men, X-2, Spider-man (1&2) & Ironman I've got to agree with oversandal & Rick here.

None of these films interest me in the slightest even though I loved them as comics.

Note to Marvel:
Just because you CAN do something (CGI etc...) doesn't mean you SHOULD.

9. Iron Man 2. But I fear for it. With a sequel the temptation will be more and bigger action. Iron man was good because it focused on stark as an entertaining character, not as a grandstanding super hero.

Would a sequel still have political undertones criticizing the industrial military complex? Will the film makers grab TDK temptation and make Iron man Dark?

10. Iron Man 2 will not take a dark direction like The Dark Knight. Jon Favreau and Robert Downey Jr. have already made comments about how they do not intend on taking the franchise in that direction. Which I personally am glad to hear as it is now my favorite of the comic book movies, but mainly because of the involvement of those two guys. I believe they are also going to keeping the focus on developing Tony Stark's character, possibly including the alcoholism story line.

So needless to say, I am most looking forward to Iron Man 2. I'm also very glad that Iron Man is now on DVD as of today...

11. I'm not super excited about any of these films, but I would have to say Iron Man 2. I'm getting tired of origin stories, and lately the 2nd film in a superhero series has been the best (X2, Spiderman 2, Dark Knight) so I'm excited to see an Iron Man film unburdened by the beginnings. Plus I would really like to see a more action orientated Iron Man, and I would like to see a villain with his/her own powers/abilities instead of a villain with a knock-off suit. Given the enthusiasm for Ant Man, I'll have to keep my eyes on that one too. I'm just waiting for DC to get off their butts and get something off the ground other than Batman and Superman.

12. i dont get why people are amped for thor. i like him and all but too hard to cast. Theres nobody in hollywood that fits the description to play thor. then those that do cant act (wrestlers). I personally cant see thor having any success but hey u never know

13. i'm excited about thor now. i think they should cast karl urban (eomer) - he has the look and the brood of a norse god (in my limited experience with them). iron man 2 will be good as well, but i can't get excited until we find out who the villian is.

For a safest bet, it's hard to top Ant Man. For most potential, well Thor could clearly kick some serious ass Branagh at the helm.

15. Funny, I didn't even notice that one of my most looked forward to movies isn't even on the list. I don't know whether it is because Kick-Ass was published under the Icon label, but with Matthew Vaughn heading the project I have to say that this is going to be the film to watch out for.

The only problem is that there are so many factors that might ruin this project. First off Nicolas Cage's performances have been extremely underwhelming as of recent, and secondly the movie is already filming while the series is only on its fourth issue.

Not to mention that the writing might be completely different from the comics (Wanted?). I just pray that Mark Millar works closely to this one because as much as I enjoyed the Wanted movie it was ruined by the fact that rather than following the unique story that made the comic great the writers chose to go the safe, Hollywood route and make it a mindless action extravaganza which, luckily, is exactly what Kick-Ass is if that is what they choose to do.

19. My opinion is a sincere antithesis to the posts above by people who are tired of super hero movies, and tired of films Marvel only doing Marvel stories (come on!)

I am actually giddy to see so much care and attention being taken to interpret one of my favorite comic book universes into film. To do so is going to take a LOT of movies. It is my intention to watch all of these films as they come out, and to do so with my buddies, elbowing one-another and whispering.

I mean, Kenneth Branagh?!?!? Directing THOR?!?!? How f-ing cool is that?

The thing that I love about super hero stories in general is the absurdity. I mean, a familiar, ancient Norse god whom we all read about in school, collaborating in modern-day Manhattan(!?!?), with a "contemporary" Howard Hughes-esque robot guy, and a WWII-era icon of "Go USA!" and freaking Spiderman?!? What??? And maybe some of the X-Men could be there, at some point?... Really??? Because they all know each other, you know, socially. Dating the same girls, that kind of thing. Really.

I feel like the ghost of Dada artist Marcel Duchamp is high-fiving me right now. It is a state of sublime joy. (He's the guy that submitted a urinal to an art contest back in 1917. So punk rock!)

As far as WHICH movie I'm most looking forward to, is a tough call. The Shawn of the Dead tie-in has me wicked-stoked for Ant Man. I haven't gotten over the Branagh shock for Thor, but I love the promise of a Branagh-serious treatment of a really wonderful, absurd concept. And I really enjoyed Iron Man, so of course I'm curious to see what happens next with that franchise.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to all of the upcoming Marvel movies, and have my fingers crossed that The Civil War is not only going to be made into a few movies, but that they will be excellent.

I've heard lots of people talking about Triple H and Arnold...get someone good! Get someone big! Thor is a god and its going to be hard to fill shoes like that.
