Countdown: Two Photos of Tim Burton's 'Alice in Wonderland'

Back when I was in London, word had it Tim Burton was in pre-production on his Alice in Wonderland -- but it seems the director has begun shooting some of his live-action scenes for the film, and a bunch of spy photos featuring Mia Wasikowska (Alice) have arrived online via INF. The images also include shots of Burton's main squeeze Helena Bonham Carter whose baby is all dressed up in period garb ... preparing for a cameo, perhaps? Of course, Johnny Depp was just officially announced as the Mad Hatter, and the final product will be a mix of live action and motion-capture animation. One imagines the scenes featuring Alice before she arrives in Wonderland (ie: these two photos) will be shot in live action, with the majority of the Wonderland stuff all in motion-capture. Oooh, this flick is gonna be freaky ...

This new Alice in Wonder land movie sounds pretty cool.
Plus having Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter is pretty cool. I like the idea that He will be both live action and CGI.
Plus Tim and Johnny have great history and so you know the work together will be great on film. Just like Edward Scissorhands from years ago this movie could just be as magical.
Also I know it is off topic but would it not be cool if after Playing the Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland Johnny Depp played the Mad Hatter in the next Batman film.
I also got to say I like the artistic design of this film. It has the look and feel of past Alice films like the one from Disney and at the same time is totally different. So to me this looks really great and I can't wait to see the finished product.

wow tim burton is truely amazing.
i cant wait to see alice in wonderland by tim burton and johnny depp is always a plus. cant wait to see who plays the march hair and the chesire cat =)
