It's a long way from carrying comics to playing a part -- would Longoria make a good Wasp? She certainly has the right haircut. If not, which female Marvel character would you like to see her play?

2. What, was Dakota Fanning not available?

3. Admittedly, there aren't a lot of choices. Scarlet Witch may work better, but then Ms. Marvel was an Avenger for a while.

4. What little interest I may have had in this just went out the window if this is true. If there is a bigger camera whore, I don't know 'em.
This chick has a way of getting her mug on every other show/promo/commercial on TV. I wish she would just go away.

5. That looks like and awfully random sampling of comics. And if I'm not mistaken, even though that top issue says "Avengers" on it, I'm fairly certain Wasp isn't in that particular version.
This picture has been blown waaaay out of proportion. Lets just settle down a bit until there is any actual real data to go on.

6. Obviously it means she's going to play Catwoman. And I hear Tony Parker is in talks to play The RIddler.
Longoria might could pull of Janet Pym. I've always thought Ashley Judd would be good in the role (even though she hasn't been in a good movie since...umm...), but she may be a little too soccer mom at this point if they're going for the team's beginnings. At any rate, the movie's already going to have three huge stars in Downey Jr., Jackson, and Norton, so I don't see why they'd need to go with a huge star for The Wasp as well. Find an unknown or lesser known brunette actress who's kinda' cute and spunky and can act and you've got yourself a Janet.

7. Let's be honest, who cares which Marvel movies she may be in...let's hope it's NONE of them! She's a horrible actress and I would hate to see her put her stink on any of Marvel's upcoming movies. I agree with Sam, cast a unknown, why stuff The Avengers w/a ton of well known, and possibly not as talented actors & actresses. Cast to the strength of the actress and part, not the name and face.

8. She is holding a copy of New Avengers Annual #2. Assuming that this comic is relevant to a role she might play, then she is NOT up for the Wasp. Janet van Dyne (aka the Wasp) is not even in this comic. The only possible women in this particular comic are Jessica Jones, SHIELD director Maria Hill, and Echo. Of these, Jessica Jones (Luke Cage's wife) is the most likely role and she'd look good for this part.

9. There is a Luke Cage movie project that is in pre-production right now. It's more likely that she's being considered for this project (as Jessica Jones), rather than for the Favreau Avengers film. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0401601/

10. Eva as the Wasp?? Maybe, but I would have gone with Jennifer Love Hewitt or Winona Ryder.... And PLEASE lets not cast Brad Pitt, Matthew McConnahey or Leo"Titanic" Dicapprio as the Cap. Take a look at Jensen Ackles(dean winchester, "Supernatural") or someone that at least looks like he could be your friend one minute and kick your butt the next...And no none of them should be Thor either, and double NO a wrestler shouldn't be either of them...
