Exclusive Clip: 'Battle in Seattle'

Cinematical has just received this exciting exclusive clip from Battle in Seattle, directed by Stuart Townsend. In theaters this weekend, Battle in Seattle tells the true story of what happened when tens of thousands of demonstrators took to the streets of Seattle to protest the World Trade Organization. Starring folks like Charlize Theron, Woody Harrelson, Ray Liotta, André Benjamin and Michelle Rodriguez, the film follows several different points of view -- from protesters and police to delegates and doctors. In the clip, Woody Harrelson plays a SWAT officer who begins to take the taunting of protesters a little too personally. Check it out after the jump...

1. looks awesome -- glad to see this film got it together and the cast looks amazing. Definitely looking forward to this one. More stars need to help out these great stories about how the government ain't on our side at all.

2. Saw the film last week in a sneak preview - it was quite good, especially for a first time writer/director.

3. the film needs more hippies getting the petchuli kicked out of 'em, but since I sort of already know the angle of the film it is a bit torrent download for me.

4. Except that it is not the true story, it is an exaggeration and distortion like all Hollywood "true stories." This movie is nothing like what happened. They did not even to bother to film it in Seattle, nor use any Seattle talent. Waste of time to watch this.

5. Anyone see Charlize talk about Battle in Seattle last night on The Daily Show?

Also, there is a BRAND NEW clip they released yesterday at www.battleinseattlemovie.com/join. Intense stuff with protesters and riot police.
