An Evening to Benefit "The Brain Candy Project"

Minneapolis, MN - THE NEED IS REAL. Tonight, and every night, there are parents sleeping on hospital chairs and even floors, worried and hoping for the best for their children, who are fighting brain cancer and brain trauma. They have little time or energy to deal with the day-to-day things most families need (laundry, day care, pets, meals), let alone big picture activities like financial planning, nutrition, understanding cancer research or even hospital parking costs.


The Brain Candy Project (ww.braincandyproject.org ) is a non-profit organization that helps the parents of children who are critically ill with brain cancer or trauma by addressing their day-to-day needs of living in the hospital in the early days/weeks of their child's diagnosis. The organization's motto is "holding parents so parents can hold their children." Henry and Cameron Allen founded the Brain Candy Project last year. Cameron, 13, has a rare, stage 3 form of brain cancer; Henry is his father and also a cancer survivor.


Susan and Christine Anderson, local businesswomen & fundraisers, have put together a special evening to support the Brain Candy Project - and to have a lot of fun, with special appearances by Gary Louris of the Jayhawks, the band Kangaroo and several surprise guests plus a Celebrity-studded silent auction, including:

4. no not wonder woman! No offence but WW is not that cool. I would rather see him take on captian america do something like a World war 2 captian america timepeice. Joss has had his tough chick character in buffy, lets give him something new.... Anyway I never want to see an invisible jet on the big screen.

Sorry. Never have been a fan and never will. He has a right to make anything he wants, but the majority of us don't really care about musicals and whatnot.

9. I love Begins, but not to the point where I wouldn't have given it up for a Joss Batman. However, now that we've gotten The Dark Knight, I wouldn't give it up for the world, even though Joss is pretty much my favorite creative person ever.
