Get Ready for 'G.I. Joe' vs. 'The Thing'!
Anyway, it looks like some loyal monster fans took the job into their own hands, and have thus created their own rendition of The Thing ... using only G.I. Joe action figures. It's really nifty, and the music is pretty cool too.

(Page 1)2. I actually think this is a music video for Zombie Zombie, the group featured on the television set. Very, very awesome stuff.

3. Remakes are not inherently good or bad. Remakes of good movies are bad ideas; remakes of bad movies are good ideas. Carpenter's The Thing was a remake of a not so good movie (wouldnt call the original bad tho)...so he was able to improve on it. How do you improve on what is already a good movie? You don't...leave it alone and tweak the formula for something more original.

6. I know it's classified as a remake, but I don't think The Thing is a remake. It's kind of a sequel. In "The Thing From Another World," scientists dig up the alien, then escavate it. However, in "The Thing," the characters make reference to a 'Norwegian' team that used thermite charges to clear the ice around the UFO, this is a direct reference to the team in the original film. Carpenter actually followed the book more closely than the original movie, so technically he would have adapted the book but still homaged the film than remade it. It's like saying Batman Begin's and the original Batman (Adam West) movie are adapted from the same comic book and not remakes.

7. No, it's a remake. At the end of "The Thing From Another World", the monster is dead, and almost all of the cast has survived. Also, they're speaking English, not Norwegian. Not to mention the 30 years between the two movies. I'm not even sure if thermite existed in the 1950s.
