1. Wonder Woman is currently in development, at least in animated form. The Batman: Gotham Knight disc comes with a sneak peak of it, and honestly, I don't think Wonder Woman can or should be pulled off. The only woman that can play WW is Lucy Lawless, and everyone knows that, but the studios will probably want someone 'young and fresh', and I don't think it would work. Seeing a 19 or 22 year old WW wouldn't be right. Wonder Woman is a.. well, WOMAN, not a girl.

The next DC movie to be given the royal treatment should be either the Flash, or the Green Lantern.

2. This is long overdue and I agree, too much emphasis on youthful characters (ie Routh is more of a boy than a man of steel)
That being said, I think WW is good in a JLA movie but not for a full treatment. If WB/DC really want to catch up to Marvel, they need to do...(wait for it)

one of the best graphic novels of all time needs to be made into a movie - so let's get going on that one.

Second, I think that either Flash or GL would be more likely to be made, or possibly a Superman/Doomsday.
If they do go the Superman route (which they ultimately will as part of any big revamp) having other DC characters populate the film will let the DC Universe unfold as it should.
Can't have a Superman funeral without other DC characters.

3. The Superman nerd inside me wants "The Man of Steel" to be the next DC product to be released, but it looks like WB doesn't even know who they want to direct it, so i won't hold my breath for that sequel.

In terms of new franchises, The Flash is something I want to see. David Goyer seemed pretty pumped at one time to do this flick with Ryan Reynolds, who I think would be perfect for this role. However, that iteration seems to be DOA. The "Supermax"-Green Arrow flick still sounds interesting as well.

Wonder Woman would be good, but only if it was a period film. WW2 era film is the only way I would take it seriously. Green Lantern would be fun as well, but only if it delt with the entire Green Lantern Corps and Sinestro figured into the equation somehow.

But WB, please, for the love of all that is holy...do NOT try and put together a JLA flick comprised of "Friday Night Lights" and "The OC" baby-faces. While you probably won't get Bale to do Justice League, that doesn't mean you have to cobble together a bunch of no-name twenty-somethings to ruin your major characters.

4. Absolutely agree that it should be Wonder Woman. They purchased a spec script that is a step in the right direction. Jennison and Strickland had better stay on the project.

6. Hopefully this meeting will lead into more DC movies getting made, or even a DC branch studio getting made. After all the projects I've seen go away and never come back(Superman vs Batman! WonderWoman!) I'd take Justice League Mortal.

9. The problem is, outside of Batman, most DC superheroes are pretty simple and kind of silly. Just remember how they had to change the X-Men ("You were expecting maybe yellow spandex?"). They will have to make a lot more changes to get a good movie out of the classic DC comics. Superman is so powerful you can't make a decent storywith him unless there is kryptonite. Green Lantern making giant hammers and shovels and things with his ring will be laughable on the big screen. The Flash just plain isn't very interesting (hey, he can run fast!). The only DC movie I'd like to see is The New Gods.

11. I think The Flash would be their best bet for success at the box office. Especially if they secure Ryan Reynolds. It has potential to be funny, but they'd need to not go overboard and make it a comedy. Wonder Woman is due, but Warner bros has to be considering how chick led actioners never do as well as ones with leading men. Both had decent TV series and are the sure bets at the B.O. I think it may be too soon to do a Justice League. Establish a few characters like Marvel is doing and then go for the ensemble.

12. Like everyone said either the Flash or Green Lantern. I would like to see a Wonder Woman movie or a better Cat Woman movie with the right director. I think Christopher Nolan can pull off the cat woman movie. Some might think I'm crazy but I think Tarantino can pull off the Wonder Woman movie. He pull it off with Kill Bill and also with Death Proof. I think Jessica Biel would be a good choice for Wonder Woman but she doesn't want to get typecast. I would like to see one of the 2 girls from Smallville get a opportunity (the girl that play Lois Lane or Supergirl). Before the plastic surgery I believe Vivica Fox would have been a good super hero and also I think Angela Bassett would have been a good super hero. Marvel need to have a spin off the Storm or Jean Grey character because I think these two can succeed as a stand-alone film. I wouldn't cast Hallie as the Storm though.

13. I first got to say I hope this is a move that Warner Brothers will put my time into making DC comics. I would love to see them give DC there own Movie studio. So they could work on bringing out more DC movies. This would allow WB to Licence the property off to different movie studios and would allow WB to get a royalty plus DC too. So more money for WB.

That being said I so would love to see an Aquaman movie. Yes it sounds weird but Aquaman could be really great if done right. I would want to see it when Aquaman is an adult though. No young age stuff. He would have to be in his upper 40s and already rule Atlantis though. But my guess people would make Aqua bad so it would most likely be a pass. Unless you make the movie dark and not laugh movie. Plus skip on the talking with animals. There is other stuff He can do. So run with that.

Other great movies could be about Captain Marvel, Green Arrow, Raven, Green Lantern, Hawkman, Outsiders, Mantian Manhunter, Spectre, Starfire & Zatanna.

There are so many choices WB could take with the comics. That I really think WB needs to let more then just them make movies off of these great series. I know WB owns the rights to them but like I said they could make it so they get a nice cut from the films.

I am a big Batman fan but I still would love to see other people then just Batman hit the big screens other then just Superman here or there.

I think Marvel is doing great they are getting more of there characters known and this is what DC should be doing too.

I would love to see the Green Lantern version of John Stewart over the Hal Jordan one more. Why I think people need to see there are more then just white super heros and John was a great one. Also I would like to see the version of Hal as Parallax more then him as GL.

Outsiders would be great because you would have Nightwing and Arsenal and if people liked them a they could even get there own movies. Because they are not with the gang all the time.

Even Raven would be great to see. Who would not want to see her take down her big even dad. Starfire would be the same reason I would like to see Emma Frost from Marvel kicking major arse and looking hot doing it.

Green Arrow is great because who does not want to see bombs, rope and all kinds of other great stuff when GA uses his arrows to bring down the bad guys. Plus GA loves Black Canary and that could also lead to her own movie.

You got to love Mantian Manhunter his planet was destroyed last of his kind and just is really cool.

Sorry for the long post. I could have went on but I think you get my point. I just wish WB would make more comic movies seeing as DC have some great propertys just WB has not let DC make them and I wish DC could make there own movies without asking WB first.

That all being said I hope this is good news and means more DC comic book movies.

14. No offense to DC but I think they kind of missed the boat as far as movies are concerned. Outside of Batman, Superman, and maybe the Flash, the general public is not familiar with their characters. I think if DC started pumping out character movies like Marvel is doing, there could be a backlash on superhero movies or everyone will get confused about which character belongs to which universe.

I think DC's best strategy would be to corner the tv market. They already have a number of properties on there and I think they could really expand and improve upon it. Plus, if shows do really well on there, that would leave the door open for feature movies of those properties. I know many believe superheros don't work on TV because of the campiness they can bring. However, given the right producers and writers, anything can work. Look at Battlestar Galactica, one of the most campy television series from the 70s, was reimagined into a gritty, dark, critically acclaimed series.

For example, a series about nightwing, robin, or green lantern coud explore their origins and from time to time, other DC characters can do cameos that could eventually lead to their own series or if they are popular enough, own movie. You would never run out of ideas, just look at the comicbook history for ideas on stories and themes.

15. The problem here is Warner Bros. studio doesn't really know how to deal with the DC hero properties. They lucked out with Nolan and Zach Snyder.

What Warner Bros. should do is this: Start a subdivision called DC Studios and have a significant number of the creative development executives in it be from DC Comics, and these people would have significant say in the approval and denial process.
