1. Naomi Watts? Love her long time, but no. I can't think of a big enough name that actually fits the character as described. Maybe Angelina?

Not that I'm all worked up about it. Angels and Demons is an even sillier potboiler than DaVinci Code. I happened to read it right when the Pope died, which tied in with the book in a cool way. But I haven't thought about it since.

2. Well, Vittoria was described as a dark-haired Italian girl, Watts seems to fit only the "girl" part of the description, so in my mind, she's a bad choice

3. Watss will be a fine choice. Let's see - a dark haired Italian girl. Well, she can certainly dye her blond locks to be dark and with dark hair and an accent (which she is good at) she can pull it off. Come on, it's not rocket science. It's acting.

4. Really, it's two questions. Does Naomi match the image that Dan Brown laid out in his hack-tastic prose? Not at all. I am trying to recall the moment we are introduced to Vittoria....her supple bronzed legs, slim waist, high firm bosom, pouty lips, etc etc...like she was spit out of detective novel-o-matic or something!

I guess I'm saying there's nothing there to "live up to." Any good actress could do this role, and Naomi's one of the best.

10. Sequel? This should be billed as a prequel. Angels & Demons was published before The DaVinci Code and in my opinion was a better book. Naomi is OK, but how about going outside the box for once. I think Laura Prepon, who was Donna on That 70's Show, would have been an excellent choice. Pouty lips indeed!

12. I don't know what they are talking about. The Da Vinci Code was a good movie, maybe not great, but it was pretty good. They only people who didn't like it were those who didn't understand or who didn't have patience to sit and watch it. As for Angels and demons, I think it will be much better only because the book was better than The Da Vinci Code and it's not filled with as much controversy. Now for Watts, well, I'll wait and see. I hated Tom Hanks as Robert in the first place, but I ended up loving him.

15. Have to admit I'm disappointed about Naomi Watts. She is an incredibly talented actress, but definitely NOT Vittoria. Angelina Jolie would have been my first choice - physically, she looks much more like Vittoria is described in "A&D", plus she also has the passion and intelligence and strength that were so important to the character. "Angels & Demons" was far superior to "The DaVinci Code" - I just hope that they do it justice!

16. "Not that good..." Oh my, it was a spectacular film! For anyoen who questions the truth and validity of the church's view on women and anyone who prefers to believe that Jesus Christ was "just a man" this movie said it all. I loved it. My husband and I were there at opening night through the protestors for DaVinci Code and we can't wait for Angels and Demons.

19. Initially, my friend and I had a mutual distaste for The Da Vinci Code. I was so bored that the only way I could follow it was becuase of the book. It is now one of my favorite movies since I realized where Ron Howard was going with it.
If Watts is Vettra she will either ruin the character or nail it, no in between.
I think the buffoon who said Donna from that 70's show needs a psychiatric evaluation. Penelope Cruz couldn't act in a movie about Penelope Cruz. I think they are trying to take it in a different direction than The Da Vinci Code, all those actors were ethnically exact and it didn't work. There is one problem, both books have the same plot except for the bomb. Beautiful daughter loses her father mysteriously and teams up with a Harvard symbologist and is semi-based on fact. Oh, and to aggravate the bible thumpers, I believe Jesus was a mere mortal. As Teabing said, "the good book did not arrive by facsimile from heaven!"
